Primal Rumble is a slapstick comedy combat card game, where players compete their loveable and hilarious ‘Primals’ against each other, collect and build decks of comically violent moves, while unlocking new characters, skins and arenas.
Our core loop is simple – choose your preferred Primal, each with their own unique aesthetics, behaviour and play style. Embark on your adventure to unlock new cards, to customize and curate your deck of cards to progress. Each solo ‘Rumble’ may require alternative deck setups for an advantage, and players can also choose from a variety of skins for their Primals.
The game gets especially chaotic when played in up to x4 player PvP synchronous battles.
Play XD, with the help of the UKGF Prototype Fund, is developing the demo of the mobile version of Primal Rumble, to aid in securing additional funding from our current or new Publisher, or Platform partner.
Specific attention will be working on the mobile portrait screen format, notifications, deck building and management, and the introduction of cross play between mobile and VR headsets. By the end of the project, Play XD will have developed a fully playable demo of Primal Rumble on mobile.
