“Having the opportunity to meet with and speak to potential applicants to this round across the UK has been incredibly rewarding. We expect a high standard of applications to be made on the back of some of these conversations” Paul Durrant, Founder of UK Games Talent and Finance CIC
These sessions are designed for both existing companies and fresh start-ups with a strong intention to submit an application to the present round.
“I hope this Fund will give them the boost and extra support they need and urge other games companies and developers to apply for funding.” Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture and the Digital Economy
The UK Games Fund team will be hitting the road again in the next few weeks as we plan application workshops for games developers who are considering applying to the Fund. Dates and venues are soon to be announced so be sure to check back with us soon.
The criteria for the second round of funding for grants of up to £25,000 from the UK Games Fund are published today.
The Q&A will take place on Tuesday 19th January 2016 12:00-13:00 GMT. The UK Games Fund team can only answer questions during that time.
This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with universities, students and industry bodies to cultivate and showcase the high levels of games development talent we have in the UK.
Despite being less than a month old the UK Games Fund has been hugely popular amongst the growing UK games development sector with demand far exceeding expectations.
“Without the help of the Prototype Fund early in our development right when we most needed it our trajectory would have been quite different and the growth, support and experience it has allowed us to build on would undoubtedly have been a much more uphill battle.”
“As a small business in a tough industry, having the flexibility to support a prototype was incredibly helpful.”
