Four high potential early stage games development studios kicked off their month long residential at DunDev earlier this week.
Week one of our month long hothousing residential project, DunDev, saw the four past Tranzfuser studios (Purr Point Productions, Hunters Moon, Tombstone Studios and Rubber Ducky Snacks) arrive in Dundee to begin work.
Each studio receives a tailored package of support, with expert External Advisers brought in to share their experiences in relation to the studios’ projects/businesses as well as answer any queries.
The four week programme has been designed to support this year’s intake of DunDev studios with their specific areas for development; be it technical expertise, business building skills or gameplay mechanics, all sessions and events have been added to the calendar to help the burgeoning studios get the best start possible on their road to sustainable growth.
Kirsty Gibson, Head of Impact at UK Games Fund, said:
“This year’s DunDev studios really have hit the ground running! It’s been a whirlwind week as the studios have had bespoke meetings with companies from our portfolio of funded companies, as well as dedicated time to reflect on their company structure and plans for the future. The coming weeks will see the four studios consolidate their initial learning in the run up to the all important pitch for UK Games Fund Prototype Fund support. We have high hopes for all four studios!”
