Record-breaking funding award takes the UK Games Fund to the next level.

£60 million package of support to drive growth, including £40 million investment for start-up video game studios, British music and film exports and creative businesses outside of London announced today by Culture Secretary.

The UK Games Fund is to be funded for 2025/6 at a level that eclipses all previous annual grants. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has revealed the £5.5m award at a Creative Industries event in Gateshead.

The Culture Secretary also emphasised the key role that UK games IP creation plays in UK economic development. The support provided by our UK Games Fund for games prototyping and content, our Tranzfuser graduate enterprise programme and our DunDev residential accelerator has been shown to be highly impactful in driving growth.

“We’re looking forward to be back supporting our community over the coming year. Times are challenging and hopefully we can play a key role in the recovery”

UK Games Talent and Finance Founder and CEO Paul Durrant.
