Eligible companies are now invited to submit their Expression of Interest in applying to the Content Fund.

With almost 40 companies supported by the Content Fund since it launched in 2023, we are now looking for eligible growth development studios based in the UK to begin their application journey.
The new funding awarded to UKGTF by DCMS earlier this year is testament to the continued drive for growth and burgeoning potential of the indie dev sector, weathering the challenges the industry faces.
Eligible companies interested in applying for the Content Fund must be able to demonstrate clear additionality that an injection of UKGF support would add to the company’s growth plan alongside further third-party leverage.
Grants of £50,000 – £150,000 for commercial games-for-entertainment will be awarded to successful eligible applicants, with 70% of the grant paid upfront and the balance once the promised leverage is fully in place.
Paul Durrant OBE, CEO and Founder of UKGTF, said:
“Opening a further phase of Content Fund support builds on the successful eighteen-month launch round and allows us to continue the same breadth of support across the early-stage UK indie games ecosystem from prototype and beyond. However, the Content Fund is firmly set in a growth-studio context and that’s why part of the grant is contingent on levering third-party support.”
