Funded company Miracle Tea Studios, one of the Tranzfuser 2016 competition winners, today launched their game Ruya.

The puzzle game tasks players to match adorable characters in Ruya’s world of dreams.

Coming to Tranzfuser 2016 as a team of four graduates based at the Eastern Enterprise Hub, the team successfully pitched their project to the UK Games Fund and have been working on bringing Ruya to the market since then.

Miracle Tea Studios is the one of the first teams to take their idea as graduate applicants to Tranzfuser right through to commercial release.

Tom Andrews, Studio Lead at Miracle Tea, said:

“Tranzfuser for me has changed my life. It has enabled me to focus my time on what I’m good at and with the game that I’m so passionate about. I’ve achieved so much in the past year and it’s all been down to the opportunities that Tranzfuser gives graduates. We’ve met some amazing people who have helped and mentored us throughout the development, all possible because of UK Games Talent and the confidence gained from the process. We’ve set up our games studio and we’re shipping our first game, something I could have only dreamt of at University.”

Bradley Smith, Lead Artist, said:

“Competing in the Tranzfuser programme was for sure the best thing I could’ve done for my career as a graduate. It has kickstarted our games studio, allowed us to be independent and made launching Ruya in the time frame that we did possible. I can’t recommend it enough for those that are serious about making independent games. The people we met and the mentoring we’ve had will stay with us in years to come.”

Ruya is available on the App Store from today.
