Securing grant support of minimum £50,000, seven community companies that have come through both the UK Games Fund and Tranzfuser make up the bulk of newly announced UK Global Screen Fund International Business Development awards.
“The [BFI’s Global Screen Fund], awarded in the form of non-repayable grants and ranging between £50,000 and £144,000 in total over the three to five year period, is focused on helping companies achieve new international business partnerships, enhance their profile and reach in the global marketplace, and increase revenue generation through export and international expansion.” BFI News

This is a useful example of getting the right funding at the right stage. Securing prototype funding from UK Games Fund early on and later securing Global Screen fund support for international business development works well alongside other support such as creative sector tax reliefs.
