Project Category: Round 10

Entropic Glitch

Entropic Glitch is a First-Person Stealth Game taking place in an unforgettable Retrowave Universe. The player uses unique 80s and quantum physics inspired mechanics to tactically advance through a retrofuturistic alternative 80s city.

The Retrowave genre is a postmodern art genre which entails music, 2D and 3D art and even philosophy. Branching out into so many important aspects it is comparable to romanticism and evokes feelings of nostalgia and hopefulness in the majority of people who immerse themselves in it.

With this project we finally try to create a game that takes the genre seriously and opens up to all the aspects of it. The player will thus tactically move against and tackle the problems of nowadays society to allow this alternative future to happen. The challenges will metaphorically represent our modern problems and will change according to the topics such as environmental change, corruption, mental health and much more. This game explores the depths of the post modern art genre Retrowave and immerses the player into a challenging first-person stealth shooter that holds more value.

Fortune Is Blind

As the first in a range of fully accessible binaural AR action-adventure mobile games with branching “choose-your-own-adventure” style stories, Fortune Is Blind follows takes the player on an adventure of their own choosing!

Each playthrough could offer something different to the player as the blind protagonist navigates the branching story toward multiple different endings. Will the player choose to shoot their way to the end, or will they employ stealthier options? Maybe they will instead try to negotiate?

Fortune Is Blind utilizes both haptic and auditory feedback to include mechanics such as: aiming and shooting, branching choices, searching, stealth, driving, navigation, and more!

Most importantly, every mechanic has been developed and tested extensively with visually impaired accessibility in mind, and the team has worked diligently to ensure a top-quality experience for everyone. No player will be left out of the fun in this accessibility-focused game!

Scriptoria Illuminate is a new team founded with the explicit purpose of creating games that can be enjoyed by both the seeing and the visually impaired equally.

The Quiet Things

Based on real diary entries kept as a teenager, The Quiet Things seeks to explore mental health issues with a raw but brave look at childhood abuse and trauma. With a deep focus on storytelling through audio, set foot in Alice’s world and hear her story.

Throughout the game you will discover pages of Alice’s life and seek to piece together fragments of memories, as well as more hidden, dark secrets.

Created with the goal of creating conversations around some of the more taboo aspects of mental health, and exploring the corners of a story that need to be told.

Time Team Games

Join the archaeology adventure in a world of Time Team Games. Time travel from your own home as you discover the past. Investigate alongside Time Team experts, uncovering archaeology mysteries and piecing together clues. Play each role in a Time Team dig; place trenches, identify finds, study bones, reassemble pottery, rediscover long forgotten artefacts, as you uncover clues to solve the sites mystery.

Time Team Games allows you to join a dig through an interactive and guided investigation experience. You uncover the clues of the past through progressive puzzles and dig site activities, building towards a ‘Whodunit’ climax.

Our vision is to create an ongoing game series, using past and future Time Team digs as a foundation. This first project sets up a game from which we plan to build a franchise – with further locations, VR editions and games exploring wider archaeology sites around the globe.
